Romantic Boho Wedding at Long Hollow Gardens
This was the romantic boho wedding of my dreams.
Where do I even begin with this beautiful couple? Words can’t fully express how much I love the story of Kelli and Brittney.
I met these two in a bar in Nashville on my 21st birthday.
How’s that for a meet-cute?
As most good stories go, we became friends first, hung out, played darts, danced, and drank a few times. At the time we didn’t live too far apart and I was so overjoyed when they hired me for a family session. Brittney always said she was going to be hiring me for their wedding, but when I moved away from the Nashville area I wasn't expecting them to still hire me, yet they did!
And what a beautifully romantic boho wedding it was.
The day started sunny and full of life as the bustling of their wedding morning began. After being together for over twelve years, these lovely brides were beyond excited to tie the knot. The love in the air was electrifying.
I loved that they got ready in the same building so they got to see each other all morning until it became crunch time before their first look.
Their first look will go down as one of the most beautiful first looks I’ve had the honor of capturing. As wedding days go, we had a tight timeline and went right into bridal party photos before the ceremony. After the ceremony, we immediately went into couple portraits because the sun was setting.
The lighting was soft and dreamy, the perfect backdrop to this romantic boho wedding day.
A picture-perfect golden hour.
One of my absolute favorite details about their wedding day is that they had no idea what their venue space was going to look like.
Let alone any floral arrangements!
They left that up to their floral vendors, Petals and Stems. They are a prime example of why you need to hire a wedding vendor team you trust! It empowered Kelli and Brittney to have the wedding of their dreams while handing over the stress of the wedding decision-making. Now, this avenue of wedding planning is not for everyone.
But it turned out so beautifully!
After they took in their beautifully decorated venue they partied with their loved ones the rest of the night. And they ended on a romantic private dance on the empty dance floor before their exit!
I cannot stress enough how important it is to take those moments on your wedding day to slow down the pace and refocus on each other.
I am the biggest advocate of elopements and intimate weddings because of how intentional every second is. But for those who these types of weddings don’t align with, carve out the special moments.
Do the first look or first touch, do the private last dance, and take those moments. Let the voice and touch of your other half ground you in that moment and remind you of your why.
